The Denny Hamlin Foundation
517 Alcove Rd. Suite 202
Mooresville, NC 28117
The Denny Hamlin Foundation has raised $2.5 million for organizations that focus on cystic fibrosis research, treatment advances, and overall quality of life care.
The Denny Hamlin Foundation is committed to raising awareness and funds for the specific needs of children, especially those with cystic fibrosis and other chronic diseases. In fact, DHF has contributed nearly half of the $2.3 Million it has donated to date towards childhood disease and cystic fibrosis programs, including those at Children's Hospital of Richmond (Va.) and MUSC Children's Health in Charleston (S.C.), to help fund research, treatment advances, and overall quality of life care.
To fulfill its promise, DHF has hosted the long-running ProAm Jam concert/golf event in Charleston, S.C. and the ShortTrack Showdown, a late model racing event hosted at various Virginia-based short tracks.
Hosted by three-time NASCAR Daytona 500 Champion Denny Hamlin and Mark Bryan of Hootie & The Blowfish - the Pro Am Jam is an epic mash-up of rock & roll, racing golf and charity. Mark and Denny started the PAJ in 2012 and have donated over $2.5M in 11 years. The center-piece of the event is an intimate outdoor concert produced and led by Mark that features an incredible jam session with musician friends from Los Angeles, Nashville and everywhere in-between.
The 2024 event is scheduled for October, hosted by the Daniel Island Club in Charleston, SC. Beneficiaries include Carolina Studios, the Denny Hamlin Foundation and MUSC Children’s Hospital.
The Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown is a fun-filled Late Model charity race that features NASCAR stars battling some of the best local and regional racers at a homegrown Virginia-based short track. The race serves as a fundraiser for the Denny Hamlin Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. The Short Track Showdown has been held nine times since 2008 at the following race tracks: Southside Speedway (2008-10), Richmond Raceway (2011-13), South Boston Speedway (2014-15) and Langley Speedway (2018).
So many things in life make no sense, yet there is no Biblical mandate or cosmic law to indicate that they should. Bad things happen and still God is good and loves us and has a good plan for our lives. Somehow those things fit together. We are not entitled to an explanation nor do we always come to a place of peace with our trials and tribulations. But make no mistake, they are purposeful and do work together for our good. That is a promise we can cling to.
